About Vitamin E and Vitamin
B-Complex
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that prevents the oxidation of
lipids. Since cell membranes are composed of lipids, it effectively
prevents the cells' protective coatings from becoming rancid as a
result of the assault of free radicals. Vitamin E also improves
oxygen utilization and enhances the body's immune response.

Vitamin B-Complex
Vitamin B-complex is a reference to eight vitamins - thiamine (B1),
riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), folic acid (B9),
cyanocobalamin (B12), pantothenic acid and biotin. These vitamins
are essential for:
•
the breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose (this provides energy
for the body)
•
the breakdown of fats and proteins (which aids the normal
functioning of the nervous system)
•
muscle tone in the stomach and intestinal tract
•
the health of our skin, hair, eyes, mouth and liver
Some doctors and nutritionists suggest taking B-complex vitamins as
a group for overall good health. However, most agree that the best
way to get our B vitamins is the natural way - through the foods we
eat!
